Sara Maida-Nicol is a native of Niagara Falls and lyric soprano who studied under Jean MacPhail (UofT) and Daniel Ferro (Juilliard) while completing a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Toronto. She is currently on faculty at both UofT and The Royal Conservatory of Music in the Voice Division. Whether performing in concert or lecture, Sara is noted for her passion and energy on stage. Sara joined Stamford Lane United five years ago, and since has married Afshin and baptized two beautiful girls, Sibilla and Raffaella with the support of her mother Licia and late father Robert (Bob). However, her musical connection to the church goes back thirty years with her first accompanist and choral leader, Marjorie Slinn. Sara is our Music Director.
Linda Bruchis a pianist, organist and teacher who has been running her own piano studio while serving as Liturgical Musician – Assistant Music Director at Our Lady of Peace and then St. Kevin’s Catholic Church, Welland. Having trained at the University of Toronto, Brock, and with The Royal Conservatory of Music, Linda’s special skills now include the ability to sight read many styles of music as well as teach and direct it. She sings alto with Chorus Niagara and continues to arrange music for choral and instrumental scores. She and Nick enjoy visiting with their family, Kati, Evan and Rachel. Rachel and Kurtis live in Halifax and are expecting in February. Linda has been a collaborative pianist in the area for over 30 years, working with soloists, schools and choirs. Linda is our Music Accompanist.
